Instructions are given to make them big enough to use as festive placemats.
They can be made all in one color, use 2 colors to alternate rounds, or even make EACH row a different color. The color combinations are limitless.
Due to the stitches used, you only need 1 strand to offer heat protection, so it’s easier on your hands to crochet than many 2 strand hot pads (pot holders).
